Game Objective & Rules

The goal of the game is simple yet exciting: collect and return at least 10 gold coins to the starting area. Keep reading to learn how to collect coins, move across the board, and utilize unique character abilities!

1. What is the Objective of the Game?

The objective is to collect and return at least 10 gold coins to the starting area (or the finishing area if returning is a game function). The first player to complete this task wins!

2. How Does One Collect the Coins?

Coins are collected on the GOLD HAUL Action Point, which is located near the treasure chest. To collect coins, players must roll the dice. The value of the dice throw determines the number of gold coins collected. Higher dice values yield more coins!

3. What is an Action Point?

An Action Point is a fully colored field on the gameboard where players must stop. Action points include:

  • START
  • GOLD HAUL (Coin Collection)
  • RED-colored Trap Fields
  • BLACK-colored Cave System Fields (with numbers)

4. How Do the Characters Move?

Characters can only move forward from their current position. Players cannot move backward on the board.

5. Do the Characters Have Any Special Abilities?

Yes! Every character has a unique advantage in the game:

Native

The Native character moves faster than others. They add a bonus to their dice roll:

  • Dice rolls of 1 or 2 = +1 bonus
  • Dice rolls of 3 or 4 = +2 bonus
  • Dice rolls of 5 or 6 = +3 bonus

Archeologist

The Archeologist can carry double the amount of gold coins (2x booster on the GOLD HAUL action point).

Miner

The Miner has the option to stay on the designated action point after crossing the cave system. Alternatively, they can move one black action field up or down from the original exit.

Adventurer

The Adventurer does not need to follow the rules on red action points and red-circled trap fields. These fields are treated as normal fields for the Adventurer character.

6. Do Players Eliminate Each Other?

There are two modes of play:

  • Friendly Mode: No elimination. Players can play without the risk of being kicked off the gameboard.
  • Rivalry Mode: Players can eliminate each other. When eliminated, the player must restart and lose the gold coins they were holding.

7. How Does One Deposit the Gold Coins?

A player automatically deposits their collected gold coins each time they successfully return to the starting symbol. Coins that have been deposited are never lost, even if the player is eliminated or loses their turn.

8. Are There Any Other Important Rules Worth Mentioning?

In the case of returning to the START action point, it functions as a normal field. No elimination can occur on this field, even in rivalry mode.

9. Does a Player Need to Throw the Exact Value on the Dice to Reach Their Symbol?

No, players do not need to roll the exact value required to reach the starting symbol. If the dice value exceeds the required distance, players can still deposit their coins successfully.

10. Tips for Winning the Game

To increase your chances of winning, use each character's special abilities strategically. Make sure to aim for the GOLD HAUL action point to maximize your coin collection!
